Billing and the free trial

How the free trial works, how to subscribe, change plan, cancel and get invoices.

The free trial

The free trial lasts 14 days and includes 500 checks. You do not need a card.

  • It does not turn into a paid plan by itself. When the trial ends, checks pause until you choose a plan. Your data stays.
  • You get an email two days before it ends, and again after it ends.
  • During the trial, Ask AI and Fix with AI share a smaller monthly allowance than on a paid plan. When it is used up they show Limit reached and pause until your usage resets on the 1st of next month, or until you choose a plan.
  • Start it with Start free trial in Settings, under Billing.

Subscribe

Open Settings, then Billing, choose a plan, and choose monthly or annual billing (annual is 2 months free). Checkout is handled by Stripe. Prices can be paid in pounds, euros or US dollars, and tax is collected at checkout where it applies. Subscriptions are for businesses and you can enter a VAT number.

You can enter a promotion code at checkout.

Only a workspace Admin can change the plan or billing.

Change plan

Use Manage billing to open the customer portal.

  • Upgrades take effect at once and are prorated.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for.
  • Your checks reset on the 1st of each month, and unused checks do not carry over.

Cancel

In Manage billing, cancel the subscription. It runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and Settings then shows when it ends. After it ends, checks pause and your data stays.

Our Terms of Service set out the rules on refunds and price changes.

Invoices and payment method

Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can download invoices, update the card and see your billing history.

If a payment fails

A banner appears at the top of the app when a payment fails. Update the card in Manage billing to clear it.
