KlientBrain can suspend a workspace. While it is suspended, runs stop and almost nothing is sent (see the one exception below), but nothing is deleted. Only KlientBrain can suspend a workspace or reactivate it.
What stops
- Access. Everyone in the workspace is refused, and the app shows "This workspace is paused. Contact us to switch it back on." Clients you gave a login to lose access too.
- Runs. No scheduled run starts. A run that was waiting to start is cancelled before any engine is asked.
- Emails, chat posts and webhooks. Nothing goes out after a run: no team emails, no client report, no Slack or Teams posts and no webhooks. This holds even for a run that started before the suspension: its results are saved, but nothing is sent. Reminder and onboarding emails stop too.
- Nothing is sent later. What was held is not sent when the workspace is reactivated. The next run sends its own messages as usual.
- Background work. Competitor page checks and robots.txt comparisons stop.
- API and connections. API keys are refused with
workspace_suspended, and so are AI crawler logs sent from your log connections. AI assistants connected to your workspace no longer see its projects.
What is kept
- Your projects, prompts, results and settings stay as they are.
- Your members stay on the workspace, with their roles.
- Suspending deletes nothing and sets no end date: the workspace stays this way until it is reactivated or deleted. The usual time limits in Data and privacy still apply.
- Report links you have already shared keep working until they expire.
- Your audit form on your website still takes leads, and each new lead is still emailed to you.
If you pay for a plan
Before a paying workspace is suspended, its subscription is either paused, so you are not charged while you are locked out, or cancelled. If it was paused, billing starts again when the workspace is reactivated. See Billing and the free trial.
Getting it back
Contact us. When the workspace is reactivated, everyone gets access back, and scheduled runs start again. A deleted workspace cannot be reactivated: see Delete a workspace.
