Prompts
A prompt is a question a buyer might ask an AI engine, such as "What is the best CRM for a small agency?". The app asks each prompt on each engine you track and stores the full answer.
Prompts are either branded (they name your brand, such as "Is Fernhill any good?") or non-branded (they do not). The headline figures leave them out unless you choose All prompts in the filter.
How many prompts
The coverage panel on the Prompts page checks that your prompts cover every buying stage, that no topic is thin, that branded prompts are under 20% of the set, and that the wording is neutral. It also flags near-duplicates and leading questions. As a guide, 25 to 50 prompts per market gives steady figures, with 20 as a floor for a small project. Fewer prompts make the figures jump around.
Suggest prompts drafts prompts from what you sell and, if you paste them in, your keywords. You tick the ones to keep.
Checks
A check is one prompt asked once on one engine. Plans include a monthly allowance of checks. Most engines use 1 check per answer. Some use more: see Plans, checks and limits.
Repeats
AI answers vary, so each prompt is asked more than once on each engine. The default is 3 times. Adaptive repeats (the default on the Startup plan) asks once, then repeats only the borderline results. The repeats are what let the app show a range for every figure. How accurate are the numbers?
How often
Each prompt has its own frequency: daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A daily prompt is asked once a day, and the day-to-day spread gives its range. You can choose the frequency for one prompt or for several at once on the Prompts page.
Runs are scheduled automatically. You can also choose Run now at any time.
When a project uses an engine that has a slower queue, Run now offers Now or Cheaper, slower. Now is the usual run. Cheaper, slower still starts at once, but sends those engines through the vendor's standard queue, so results usually arrive within about 45 minutes. The other engines still run now.
The watch list
Star a prompt with Watch to re-check it every week between full runs, when your full schedule is slower than weekly. Watch-list results appear only in the watch list panel. They never feed the headline figures or trends.
Pausing a prompt
Pause stops a prompt being asked without deleting its history. Track starts it again.
