The Overview shows five figures. Each comes from the same set of answers, and each can be hovered for the count behind it, its range, and the change since the last run.
| Figure | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Visibility | The share of AI answers that name your brand. |
| Cited as a source | The share of answers that link to a page on your website. |
| Share of voice | Your mentions as a share of all mentions of the brands you track (you and your competitors). |
| Position | When you are named, your average rank among the tracked brands in the answer. 1 is first, so lower is better. |
| Sentiment | How answers describe you when they name you: positive, neutral or negative. |
Visibility
If 12 of 40 answers name you, Visibility is 30%. It is the number most people mean by "how often AI mentions us".
Cited as a source
Being named and being cited are different. An answer can name you without linking to your site, and it can link to your site without naming you. Both are counted separately, and the app also shows how many answers cited you without naming you.
Share of voice
Share of voice compares you with the competitors you track. If your brand is named 20 times and the tracked brands together 100 times, your share of voice is 20%. A brand you do not track does not count, so adding the right competitors matters.
Position
Position only counts answers that name you. A brand named in few answers can still have a good position. Alongside it, the app counts how often you are named first, which is being "the pick" rather than one of several.
Sentiment
The sentiment score runs from 0 (very negative) to 100 (very positive), with 50 as neutral. The Overview shows the share of mentions that are positive, and the split between positive, neutral and negative. An AI model reads each answer that names a tracked brand and scores it. The sentence it scored is shown, and you can open any answer to read it.
Who decides what counts
Whether your brand is named, and in what order, is decided by exact text matching on your brand name and aliases. The AI judge only scores sentiment and checks facts.
Pooled and per engine
With several engines selected, the figures combine all of them. Engines differ a lot, so the Engines tab shows each separately, and picking one engine in the filter shows that engine alone.
Filters
The figures cover non-branded prompts unless you choose All prompts. They also follow the engine, market and period you select.
