How to choose the prompts to track

How to pick prompts that reflect what your buyers ask, and how many you need.

The prompts you track decide every figure you see, so they are worth a little thought.

Write them the way a buyer would ask

Use full questions, not keywords: "What is the best invoicing tool for a freelancer?" rather than "invoicing software". Make each one specific to your product, your audience and your market. Broad prompts such as "best software" mostly name the biggest brands, so they tell you little. How prompts and checks work

Mix branded and non-branded

  • Non-branded prompts do not name you. They show whether AI brings you up unprompted, and they drive the headline figures.
  • Branded prompts name you. They show what AI says about you once you are mentioned, including wrong facts.

Group them by topic

Put prompts about the same subject in one topic, so you can see which subjects name you and which do not. Organise prompts

Let the app suggest more

How many?

Start with the questions you most want to win, then add more as you see gaps. Each prompt asked once on one engine uses one check, so more prompts use more of your monthly checks. Plans, checks and limits
