Prompt rules is a line under the heading on the Prompts page. It is closed until you open it, and shows a small count when some prompts are weak or scheduled.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Retire underperforming prompts automatically | A setting, off by default. After a number of checks with your brand named in none of the answers, the prompt is paused. The number is 10 unless you change it (3 to 60). |
| Weak prompts | The prompts that meet that test right now, each with a Pause button. It works whether or not the setting is on. |
| Schedule a prompt | Pick a prompt and a day. It is paused until that day, then starts on its own. |
Nothing is ever deleted. A paused prompt keeps every answer, and you can resume it at any time from the Prompts page, or with Resume in the Paused automatically list.
How it is worked out
A check is one finished run that got at least one judged answer back. Several engines and repeats in one run are one check. Failed answers and answers not yet judged are not counted. After an automatic pause, only newer answers count, so a prompt you resume is not paused again at once. The last tracked prompt in a project is never paused. A start day is a UTC day, and a prompt starts within the hour after midnight UTC.
