Recommended JSON-LD on Site check gives you a block of structured data to paste into a page, so search and AI systems can read who you are in a standard form.
How to use it
- Run a site check first. The block is built from the pages that check read.
- Open Site check and find the Recommended JSON-LD card.
- Pick the page in the Page list. The home page is chosen first.
- Press Copy and paste the block into the page's HTML.
A Valid tick means the block can be read, uses schema.org, and every item has the fields that type needs. If it says Not valid, hover it to see why.
What goes in it
Only what the project already holds. Nothing is invented, and a field with nothing to fill it is left out.
- Home page: your organisation (name, website and the Other names you added in Settings) and the website itself.
- Any other page: the same, plus the page, with the title and description the site check read.
- Profile links (such as LinkedIn) appear only when a brand fact you marked true holds a link to a known profile site. Brand facts are explained in Accuracy and brand facts.
Hover the ? to see what the block was built from and what structured data the page already has.
Things to know
- The page must have been read by your latest site check. Otherwise the card says That page was not read by the latest site check.
- No logo, address, phone number or dates are added. Add those yourself if you want them.
- Check the result before you publish it. It is a starting point for your developer, not a promise about how any search or AI system will use it.
See Site check for the checks that find missing structured data.
