Framer, Wix and Squarespace do not give a site owner a log file, so the AI crawlers card cannot read one from them. Two things work on all three, and neither changes your pages beyond one added line.
Count visits from AI assistants
The tracking script counts visits from people who clicked through from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot. It shows on Visitors from AI.
- On Visitors from AI choose Tracking script and copy the line shown. It looks like this, with your own site ID:
<script async src="https://app.klientbrain.ai/api/beacon/v1.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script> - Paste it into your builder's custom code box, set to load on every page, in the head:
- Framer: open Project Settings, choose the Custom Code tab, and choose Add Script. Pick the head and all pages, then publish. Custom code does not load in Framer's canvas preview, so check the published site. Framer's guide
- Wix: in the Wix dashboard, find Custom Code under Development & integrations, and choose Add Custom Code. Paste the line, choose All pages, place it in Head, and choose Apply. The site must be published with a connected domain. Wix's guide
- Squarespace: open Code Injection and paste the line into Header, then save. Code Injection is on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some older plans. Checkout pages do not take code. Squarespace's guide
- Visit your site from a link in an AI assistant, or add
?utm_source=chatgpt.comto a page address. The visit shows on Visitors from AI.
Wix says Google Tag Manager does not work through its custom code box, so on Wix paste the line itself instead of using the Tag Manager template.
See which AI crawlers visit
Crawler visits need a log, and none of the three has one you can export. The route other tools describe is to put Cloudflare in front of the site: your domain points through your own Cloudflare account, which does keep a log, and then you connect Cloudflare. This needs a domain you control; a free address from the builder itself cannot be moved behind Cloudflare. Follow your builder's own steps for changing the domain's name servers or DNS records, and keep the builder's required records as they are.
Good to know
- Nothing here has been run on a real Framer, Wix or Squarespace site yet. If a step does not match what you see, tell us.
- The Framer plan needed for custom code is not stated on the page we read. Check it in your project.
- Where a consent tool holds scripts back until a visitor agrees, those visits are not counted.
- Nothing is published to your site by us. You paste the line yourself.
