Work on actions together

Assign actions, comment with @-mentions, add your own tasks, send an action to Linear or Jira, and find what changed and why.

Actions can be shared out and discussed in the app, copied into your ticket tool, and read as a short feed of what changed. This article covers each, with the page it sits on.

Assign and comment

  1. Open an action on the Actions page.
  2. Open Team in the panel. Pick a person from Assignee, or choose Unassigned.
  3. Type in the box under Team and choose Comment. Type @ to pick a teammate; their name is shown in bold in the thread.

An assigned action shows the person's initials and name on its row. The button above the list that starts "Assigned to me" shows only yours. You can delete your own comment with the cross beside it, and Admins can delete any. Viewers can read the comments but not add or assign. Client logins do not see them.

Add your own tasks

Under the list, the Tasks card holds work that did not come from the suggested actions. Type a title under Add a task and choose Add. A task sits in the same tabs as an action, has the same statuses (New, In progress, Done, Dismissed), and can be assigned and commented on from its own Assign and comment line.

Send an action to Linear or Jira

In the action panel, choose More, then "Send to Linear" or "Send to Jira" in the menu. The tool's own new-issue page opens in your browser with the action's title and text filled in, so you create the ticket as yourself.

  • Linear needs nothing more.
  • Jira asks once for Jira site name (the "acme" of acme.atlassian.net) and Jira project id, then Open in Jira. They are kept in your own browser only.

Copy as prompt and Copy as Markdown are in the same menu, for an AI assistant or a document.

Signals

On Actions, choose Signals beside the title to see a feed of what changed, newest first and grouped by day. Each entry says what happened, then Why it happened and What to do. The line under What to do links to the matching action or page. The feed starts after your second run. The button at the foot, "Show" followed by a number, opens the older entries.

Investigate a drop

When visibility falls, Investigate lists the likely causes in order:

  • On the Overview, choose Why? beside the Visibility figure. The causes are listed under Likely causes.
  • On Prompts, open a prompt and choose Investigate. A panel shows the causes for that prompt, with Read the answers and Earlier answers to open the answers from the latest run and the one before.

Each cause is a row with a figure and a label, such as Within normal range, Model changed, Your pages cited less, Competitors gained or Citation changes. Open a row to see the evidence. If nothing in the figures explains the change, it says "No clear cause found in the figures".

Top opportunities

On Actions, Top opportunities is a tab under the title, beside What changed, when there is something to list (on the older Overview layout it is the first tab under Details). It shows up to five items, ranked by impact, with wrong facts first. An item can be an action, a content gap or a page whose citations are fading. Choose one to open it, or choose Open Actions for the full list.

What to do next

Start with Top opportunities, assign each item to someone, and use Signals after the next run to see what moved. For how actions are ranked, see Actions. To draft the work itself, see Fix with AI.
