Fix with AI drafts the work for an action, and you decide what happens to it. Every draft waits for your approval. Approving a content or technical draft saves the text. Nothing on your site changes.
Draft a fix
- Open an action on the Actions page. It opens in a panel on the right.
- Under the buttons, find Fix with AI. The button is named for the kind of draft that suits the action: Draft content edit, Draft technical fix or Draft outreach email. To change the kind, open Options and choose Content edit, Technical fix or Outreach email.
- Choose the draft button. The draft appears as Waiting for approval, in a box you can edit.
- Choose Approve to save the text, or Reject to discard it. A line under the draft says "About N drafts left this month".
Choose Draft again for a second draft beside the first. Decided drafts are kept under Earlier drafts, with the text that was approved. If the monthly allowance is used up, the section says Limit reached and the date it resets. Drafts share the monthly Ask AI allowance.
Fix with AI is shown to people who can edit the project. Viewers and client logins do not see it.
Undo a decision
Choose Revert next to a draft under Earlier drafts to put it back to Waiting for approval. Nothing outside the app changes. A draft can be reverted up to 3 times.
History on each draft lists every approval, rejection and revert with who, when, and the Before and After state. Open it to see the text that was approved each time.
Send an outreach email
For an Outreach email draft, the box becomes a short email form:
| Field | What to do |
|---|---|
| Page | Pick which cited page the email is about. Shown when the action names more than one page. |
| To | The editor's address. A contact you saved earlier for the page shows as Saved contact. |
| Subject and the email text | Edit freely. |
Choose Approve and send to send it. You are asked to confirm first, because sent emails cannot be undone, so a sent email has no Revert. It shows Sent to the address with the date. Replies go to your own email address. The line "emails left today" shows how many you can still send, and its hover gives the daily limit and how often one address can be emailed.
Draft a pitch and track it
Actions that name pages to get onto, or off-page channels, also show Pitch with one row per page. Each row has:
- A status list: Not contacted, Pitched, Replied or Placed.
- Draft pitch, which writes a subject and email you can edit. Choose Copy, or Open in email to send it from your own mail app. Mark as pitched records it. Nothing is sent from here.
- Contact and note, to keep the editor's address, the date and a note.
Once a page is marked, the row shows how often answers that cite it now name you, such as "You are named in 2 of 9 answers that cite this page since 3 Oct". Choose Mark as placed when you are named.
Fix types on Actions
Besides the types in Actions, these can appear:
| Fix | What it asks you to do |
|---|---|
| Reddit conversations | Join the Reddit threads AI cites, openly as your brand. |
| YouTube videos | Make a video that answers the same prompts, or ask the creators to feature you. |
| Social conversations | Join the social conversations AI cites, or ask a customer to share their experience. |
| Media articles | Pitch the editors or authors of articles AI cites, lists and roundups first. |
| Site check | A problem found by the Site check. Placed by how serious it is, so its Impact is High, Medium or Low rather than a score. Choose Open Site check in the fix to see the pages. |
An off-page fix appears when a competitor is named in answers that cite a page of that kind and you are rarely or never named there.
See the effect
Open Why this matters in an action. When the action covers specific prompts, a small chart shows Visibility on these prompts over your runs, with the latest figure and its change. Come back after the next runs to see whether it moved.
