Shopping shows how your products appear when an AI engine answers with product cards instead of plain text. It reads the product cards from the ChatGPT app and Google AI Mode, so choose one of them in the engine filter. The page appears in the sidebar once your project has product cards.
The three figures at the top
| Figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| Shopping mode rate | The share of answers that show product cards rather than a standard text answer. |
| Product share | Your share of the product cards shown. A product counts as yours when its name, its website or its seller is yours. |
| Position | Your product's rank when it appears. Lower is better. |
Read Shopping mode rate first. If it is low, few of your prompts lead to product cards, so there is little to measure. Prompts about buying, price and "best" usually bring them up.
Below the figures
- Top competitors shows the brands dominating shopping answers.
- Top merchants shows the top retailers in product carousels, which is where AI is sending shoppers.
- Top products lists the most popular products in the cards, with rating, price and how many times each appeared.
- Shopping prompts lists the prompts that trigger product results, with the models, the number of products, the top brand and your position.
What to do next
If a competitor owns a prompt, open it and compare your product page with theirs: price, reviews and clear product details. If shops other than yours own the cards, check your product feed and the retailers' listings. If you see No product cards yet, add category prompts, for example "What are the best running shoes for beginners?".
