Site check looks at your website the way an AI bot does and tells you what might stop it reading your content. Choose Check your site to run it. Results are saved with the date.
The main figure
The big number is checks passed, for example 9/13. Beside it are the counts of Errors, Warnings and Notices. An error needs fixing, a warning is worth fixing, and a notice is information, not a fault.
The checks
They are grouped as follows.
- AI crawlers: whether your robots.txt allows AI search crawlers, Google and Bing, and AI training crawlers. A table lists each Bot, its Platform, its Bot type, its Status (Allowed, Partial or Blocked) and the Reason.
- Files: robots.txt, llms.txt and Sitemap.
- Homepage: Status code, Text without JavaScript, Title tag, Meta description, Structured data, Canonical link and Indexability.
Each problem comes with a one-line fix. Hover the "?" beside it.
Page speed and pages
Page speed shows how fast each page loads on a mobile device: Performance, LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), INP (Interaction to Next Paint) and CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift). These come from Google PageSpeed Insights.
Pages lists each page checked, with its Status, a mark for each check and its Worst issue. AI readiness is a score out of 100 that combines Technical, Content and AEO, with a label from Critical to Excellent. It is a guide to how well a page is prepared.
What to do next
Fix errors first, then warnings. A blocked AI search crawler or a missing robots.txt is the most common reason an engine cannot read a site. Check again after each change. For fixes to your content and mentions, see Actions.
