Position distribution shows where brands appear in AI responses. One row per tracked brand, the most named first, with five columns: #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5+. Your row is marked You.
| Cell | What it means |
|---|---|
| 40% under #1 | In 40% of the answers that name the brand, it is named first. |
| - | The brand never sat at that place. |
The stronger the blue, the bigger the share. Hover a cell for the brand, the place, the share and how many answers it rests on.
How it is worked out
For each answer that names a brand, the place of its first mention counts once. Place 5 or lower counts as #5+. Each brand's row adds up to 100% of the answers that name it. The card follows the period, engines and filters chosen at the top of the page.

What to do next
A brand that is often named but rarely #1 is on the list without leading it. Compare your row with the leader's, then open the prompts where you sit low in Sources and competitors.
